We’re more than just business partners — we’re brothers, best friends, and third-generation electricians. Electrical work runs in our family; our grandfather and father were both highly skilled electricians who passed down their knowledge, work ethic, and passion for the trade from an early age.
At DAL Electricals, that legacy lives on in everything we do. It's not just a career — it’s in our blood.
DAL Electrical is run by brothers Andrew and James Leigh who are third generation electricians by trade, proudly following in the footsteps of their dad and grandad.
Our Story: From Apprentices to Industry Leaders
Growing up around the trade, Andy and James were hands-on from an early age — helping out at home and wherever they could. This early experience laid a solid foundation and gave them a head start when they officially began their apprenticeships. Guided by generations of expertise, their skills and dedication naturally led to the creation of DAL Electrical Services.
In 2017, Andy made the decision to launch DAL Electrical Services Ltd alongside James, and since then, the company has grown steadily from strength to strength. Their dedication and expertise have earned them the trust of a number of blue-chip clients across the UK. This success paved the way for the creation of DAL Smart, a division focused on commercial automation. With their combined experience and forward-thinking approach, Andy and James are confident that DAL Smart will become one of the UK’s leading commercial automation companies.
Our Directors
Andy
After leaving school at 16, Andy proudly followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather by securing an apprenticeship at Manweb, the local electricity board at the time. Upon completing his apprenticeship, he moved on to a Cheshire-based electrical contracting company, where he spent 18 years progressing to the role of senior foreman.
During this time, Andy was responsible for managing multi-million-pound projects from inception through to handover. This experience gave him a deep and broad knowledge of the electrical industry across all disciplines, equipping him with the skills and expertise that now drive the success of DAL Electrical Services.
James
James brings over 12 years of experience as an approved electrician and designer. After completing a full industry-approved apprenticeship—during which he was awarded Apprentice of the Year—James progressed to become an approved electrician and then a qualified technician.
Building on his technical expertise, James further trained as an estimator and designer, contributing to numerous successful projects for a wide range of clients. He strongly believes that excellent customer relationships are the foundation of a thriving business, and takes great pride in the many repeat customers who trust DAL Electrical Services time and again.
Although DAL Electrical Services is a relatively young company, this doesn’t detract from the vast wealth of experience we have within the company. We have quickly earned an excellent reputation as a trusted partner and contractor with our ever growing client base.
